The short version: the budget information you enter stays on your own device. The one exception is the optional voice feature — when you use it, what you say is sent to speech-processing services so it can be turned into text and understood.
Budget Blueprint is a Windows desktop application published by CMW Digital, registered in Oregon, USA. You can reach us at support@cmwdigitalmedia.com. This policy explains what information the app handles and where it goes.
Everything you enter to run your budget — income, bills, spending, savings, debts, transactions, notes, and goals — is stored locally on your own device. CMW Digital does not receive, collect, or store this information, and it is not sent to us or to anyone else during normal use of the app. You do not create an account, and no sign-in is required.
Budget Blueprint includes an optional voice-entry feature. When — and only when — you choose to use it, the app uses your device's microphone to capture what you say, and that audio is sent over the internet to be transcribed into text and interpreted into a budget entry. The microphone is accessed only while you are actively using the Speak feature. Because you speak your entries aloud, this audio and the resulting text may include details such as amounts, bill names, and payees.
If you never use the Speak feature, no data leaves your device. The rest of the app works fully on your device without sending anything to us or to third parties.
When you use the Speak feature, your request passes through a CMW Digital service that relays it to the providers below and returns the result to your app. We use these providers only to make the voice feature work:
These providers process your voice data on our behalf to deliver the transcription and interpretation, subject to their own privacy policies. CMW Digital does not use your voice data for advertising, and does not sell it. We do not retain your spoken entries or transcripts beyond what is needed to process the request and return the result to your app.
The version of Budget Blueprint installed directly from our website may contact cmwdigitalmedia.com to check whether a newer version is available. This update check does not send your budget information or any personal data — it only retrieves the current version number. The Microsoft Store edition does not perform this check; it receives updates through the Microsoft Store.
This policy is mostly about the app, but our website is separate, and it works the way most websites do.
Because your budget data lives on your device, you control it directly — you can edit or remove it in the app at any time, and uninstalling the app removes the data stored on that device. If you would prefer that nothing you say leaves your device, simply don't use the Speak feature; every other part of the app remains fully available.
Budget Blueprint is intended for a general adult audience for personal budgeting. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
If we change how the app handles data, we'll update this page and revise the effective date at the top. Significant changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
