Run the installer
Double-click the downloaded .exe file and follow the prompts. Nothing to unzip — it installs in under a minute.

If Windows shows a SmartScreen notice
Budget Blueprint is code-signed, but Microsoft's SmartScreen filter can still flag a brand-new release until it builds up reputation — this shows up when you run the installer, not when you download it. If you see "Windows protected your PC," click More info, then Run anyway. The app is offline and never sends your data anywhere.

Open the download
Double-click the downloaded .dmg file. A window opens showing the app.

Drag it to Applications
Drop Budget Blueprint into the Applications folder, then open it from Applications or Launchpad. It's notarized by Apple, so it opens straight away — no security prompt to clear.
Already a customer? Just install over your current version — your license key and all your budget data carry straight over. Nothing to re-enter.
